Tennessee Multihazard Mitigation Consortium (TMMC)

The Tennessee Multihazard Mitigation Consortium (TMMC) was formed to assist in reducing future losses from natural and technological hazards. TMMC will do this by (1) conducting research to better understand the hazards and how to mitigate their effects; (2) developing educational tools and assisting Tennesseans in mitigating their homes and businesses from damage by hazards; and (3) working with other organizations (e.g., Tennessee Emergency Management Agency and Tennessee Office of Homeland Security) in reducing losses.
