Community Partnership Center
The Community Partnership Center (CPC) is a research and outreach center. Its mission is to link university resources with urban and rural grassroots community groups to understand and address the core problems facing low- and moderate-income communities.
CPC strives to create mutually respectful research and action partnerships that embody and promote equitable and democratic principles. We are committed to strengthening the capacity of both community and university partners to build healthy, flourishing communities.

Download a copy of The University of Tennessee Campus Heritage Plan (PDF, ~37MB). With support from the Getty Foundation, CPC conducted this inventory and assessment of historical and architectural resources on the UT Knoxville campus, identified areas of archaeological significance, and developed recommendations to help promote, protect, and preserve these assets.
The New Norris House project won top honors at the P3 Award Competition during the Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA) National Sustainable Design Expo held in Washington, D.C., on April 18-19, 2009.
The New Norris House project has taken the Top Undergraduate Research and Creative Achievement prize in this years EUReCA competition at UT! The Community Partnership Center led the redesign effort.
Tim Ezzell (CPC's Director) is working to preserve UT's architectural history. These efforts are reported in The Chronicle of Higher Education.
